IM Kostya Kavutskiy

IM Kostya Kavutskiy is a professional chess player currently living in Mountain View, CA. In addition to playing chess all over the United States, Kostya is also a successful coach, writer, and has even recently started streaming and publishing videos on YouTube.

In 2015, Kostya's first book, Modernized: The Open Sicilian, was published, with co-author IM Zhanibek Amanov.

Kostya is currently in pursuit of the Grandmaster title and works for several organizations, including BayAreaChess, Chess University, Chess.com, & Metropolitan Chess.
